The production of plastic waste has doubled since the 2000s and almost 2/3 come from materials having a shelf life of less than 5 years, such as textiles and packaging. In the Alpine territory, the plastic and textile industries share resources, products and equipment that are essential for the mountain economy. However, there is a big issue that needs to be faced: the environment.
FILSE, together with the Camera di Commercio di Genova as well as 9 other partners coming from Italy, Austria, France, Germany and Slovenia, contribute to a thorough analysis of the current context and to the possible solutions to develop shared practices, policies and regulations which are overall harmonized within the entire Alpine territory. These solutions are aimed towards the protection of our mountains and the wellbeing of our communities.
The project is co-financed by the European Union with a budget of 2.612.360 EUR. Partners: Auvergne-Rhone-Alps Region (Lead partner), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Association, Standortagentur Tirol, POLYMERIS, Città Studi S.p.A., Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nurmenberg, Cluster Montagne, Camera di Commercio di Genova, FILSE Financial Agency of Liguria Region, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, University of Innsbruck.
